The PERFO LINEA PRODUCT CENTRE provides comprehensive technical project support – from material selection and design development through to surface finish selection and the final product. We prepare drawing documentation and propose an appropriate technical solution for your project. With our experience, you receive a solution that is technically sound, efficient and tailored to your requirements.
How it works
1
Design
We assess the feasibility of your proposal and develop a solution that is both technically and economically appropriate.
2
Material
We recommend the optimal material, advise on its parameters and clearly define the required dimensional tolerances.
3
Documentation
We prepare technical and workshop documentation to ensure technical accuracy, cost efficiency and readiness for production.
4
Costs and lead times
We prepare cost calculations for one-off and repeat projects, identify potential savings and establish a realistic production lead time.
5
Services
We arrange associated operations such as surface finishing, laser cutting, shearing, bending, welding and recommend an appropriate fixing system.
6
Dispatch
We arrange secure packaging and reliable transport, either using our own vehicles or via approved contracted carriers.
PERFO LINEA Product Centre
-
Shearing Shearing is a core fabrication process in which sheet material is cut to the required size and format using guillotine shears. At PERFO LINEA, we shear perforated sheet, expanded metal and steel gratings with high dimensional accuracy and clean cut edges. Our modern equipment minimises the need for secondary finishing and ensures the material is ready for subsequent fabrication processes.
-
Bending Bending enables sheet metal and expanded metal to be formed precisely in accordance with customer requirements. We use CNC press brakes to achieve accurate forming of perforated sheet and expanded metal while maintaining defined dimensional tolerances. This process allows us to produce both simple bends and more complex formed components used in architecture, engineering and construction.
-
Welding Welding is a key fabrication process for achieving strong and durable joints between metal components. We offer a range of welding methods suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Perforated sheet, expanded metal and gratings are welded to meet both structural and aesthetic requirements.
-
Laser cutting Laser cutting is one of the most precise methods of processing metal. It enables the production of intricate geometries and fine details with a high-quality cut edge. At PERFO LINEA, laser cutting is used where precision, repeatability and edge quality are critical, eliminating the need for additional finishing operations.
-
Plasma cutting Plasma cutting is an efficient method for processing thicker material sections. It allows rapid production and is particularly suitable for larger components manufactured from gratings or perforated sheet. This technology ensures consistent cut quality even at greater material thickness.
-
Saw cutting – profiles and bars Saw cutting is used for cutting edging profiles and bars that complement the installation of perforated sheets, gratings and expanded metal. We ensure clean, accurate cuts with minimal burr, preparing components for further fabrication.
-
Saw cutting – expanded metal and floor gratings Saw cutting is a proven method for cutting expanded metal and floor gratings to the required dimensions. During processing, care is taken to prevent material damage so that components can be used directly in façade elements or other finished applications. Unlike shearing, saw cutting does not flatten the mesh of expanded metal.
Surface finishing
-
Powder coating Powder coating is a modern surface finishing process in which dry powder is applied to the metal surface and then cured in an oven. The result is a continuous, durable coating with high resistance to mechanical damage and environmental exposure. The process is also environmentally responsible.
-
Anodising Anodising is an electrochemical surface treatment for aluminium in which a layer of aluminium oxide is formed and permanently bonded to the base material. This layer does not corrode and provides effective protection against environmental influences and mechanical wear. Owing to its properties, anodising is well suited to exterior applications and is widely used in the automotive and aerospace industries. The surface retains its metallic appearance and offers long-term colour stability and dimensional stability.
-
Hot-dip galvanising Hot-dip galvanising is a proven method of protecting steel, in which the product is immersed in a bath of molten zinc. A thick protective layer is formed and metallurgically bonded to the base material, preventing moisture ingress and corrosion. This treatment significantly extends the service life of steel structures and enhances their resistance to mechanical stress and environmental exposure.
-
Electro-galvanising Electro-galvanising is an electrochemical process in which a thin, uniform layer of zinc is deposited on steel. This treatment is suitable for materials intended for subsequent powder coating. It ensures extended service life and the excellent appearance of façade and fencing elements.
-
Pickling (passivation)
Pickling, also referred to as passivation, is a surface treatment for stainless steel that removes contaminants, oxides and discolouration resulting from processing. The natural passive layer is restored, significantly improving resistance to chemical exposure and aggressive environments.
The result is a cleaner, smoother surface, enhanced corrosion resistance and extended product life. This treatment is particularly suitable for gratings and other elements exposed to demanding conditions where long-term durability is required.
-
Degreasing Degreasing is a fundamental surface preparation process that removes contaminants and oils prior to further surface treatment. For stainless steel products, it is carried out where necessary to maintain the required surface quality and durability.
For other metal materials, we use an evaporative oil that leaves a dry, lightly protective film on the surface. This facilitates handling and provides temporary corrosion protection until the next manufacturing step.
